Ripping Jeans Step-by-Step

 Levis - Pair Two

These are the second pair of Levis that I bought and as you can see (sorry about the horrible yellow photo) they are very pale. I decided that I would rip them to break up the plain colour and I decided to show you how I did it! I love the ripped denim look and it is a style that tends to always linger around whilst other fashions come and go. It was important to me that I didn't go over the top as you can always rip more but you cant get rid of a rip!

1. Put the jeans on and look at where you want the rips to be, then lay them out on the floor and mark with a pencil where you want the rips to start and end. You will need to mark the top and the bottom of the rip.

2. Cut along the lines that you have drawn and start to pull the vertical (normally blue) threads out from in-between the horizontal white threads. If you just want a single rip then simply cut one line and pull at some of the threads by hand.

3. You need to make sure that you wash the jeans to finish off this edit as it will soften the rips and make them look lovely!

I will upload a picture of my finish jeans for you very soon!

Love Hannah xxx
