Homey Things

I went shopping yesterday in Tetbury in Gloucestershire and bought a couple of things that have adorable vintage charm! As well as being in love with fashion and clothes, I also love interior design and buying things for my cute-sie little bedroom!

1. First of all I spotted these hanging-bauble type things (I have no better word for them) at the market in the centre of the town. They were in a basket on an antique stall and I could not resist their sparkly vintage allure. I have seen very similar hanging decorations in Cox&Cox but for a lot more money! These were marked at £3 each but the lovely man gave me 6 for £16, this is a definite bonus of buying real antiques apposed to modern copies, you can barter! The pinks and purples will go well in my bedroom and I have a sneaky plan for these so keep your eyes peeled on here to see what I do with them!

2. I bought these lovely tea-light holders from French Grey, they are so adorable with the little birds sat on the side! They have the same silver gilt-y-ish finish as the baubles do and came in a lilac and a grey/stone colour. These cost £2.50 each but are so cute that I had to have them, I also have many birdy objects sitting around my room. Including some clip-on birds that are sitting on my curtains and bed frame, so these tea-lights fit in very nicely!

I thoroughly enjoyed shopping for and blogging about these items so maybe I will do more interior posts in the future. Please let me know if you enjoyed reading this and would like me to post more of a similar topic!

Aromatherapy Associates Review

Aromatherapy Associates Review

I finally got round to doing a review of the bath oil testers that I got given, I have tried two of them and I can officially say, THEY ARE HEAVEN! These oils not only make your bath water smell amazing but they also leave your skin feeling silky smooth and moisturised. Every time I have used one I have made sure that I have loads of candles and turn the lights off, the other day it really helped me to relax the night before my driving test! I would highly recommend sticking this on your christmas list as it is a must have for a stressed, manic person like me!

Recent Shopping Haul

Hi guys!
First of all i'm SO SO sorry that I haven't posted in a while, life suddenly got manic, but I am back! So within the past couple of weeks I have been doing loads of shopping and I wanted to show you all my amazing purchases!

1. First of all my AMAZING Henry Holland boots!

I bought these from the Debenhams website as they are one of the few brands on the market that go up to a size 9 (european 43). I fell in love with a very similar pair from Next but unfortunately they only went up to an 8 :(. The boots cost me £55 (sale price) and are real leather so I thought I got myself a real bargain there! They are very versatile, as you will see as I have successfully styled them with all of my other new clothes.

2. My ASOS Haul

I bought 10 items from the ASOS website and decided that I would keep 5 of my favourites but as some of you clever cookies will have realised there are only 4 here! two reasons for this, one I forgot to photograph it and two I think I will style it in a later look with some other items and perhaps a complimentary make-up look. Anyway..... These four items all cost around £11 each and were all in the sale.
  • The first is the the-dye grunge effect cold shoulder T-Shirt which so far is my 'most worn' of my haul. This top is soooo versatile and goes with almost anything, looks great slung over leggings or jeans OR just over tights like I have done here.
  • The second item is again a grunge style dress, I wouldn't quite call it a skater dress but it has a similar shape. I haven't yet warn this dress but I think it will also become one of my favourites when I do!
  • THE PUG SKIRT. Now if any of you readers actually know me, you will know that I am pug OBSESSED, when Zoella got her hands on a pug skater dress earlier in the year I knew I had to have something similar! When I found this skirt I was over the moon, it is black and has the cutest little pugs on it ever! Definitely a favourite for the winter with some wooly tights and a knitted jumper.
  • The final item is the acid green dipped-hem strappy dress, personally i really like the colour and style however much my mum and sister disagree. I love pastel colours and think that this dress would go really well with my new boots (as shown) and a leather jacket (that I am still on the lookout for).

3. Everything Else Clothes! - TK Maxx, Overider, Ebay, Ralph Lauren

          • First was this All Saints top bought off Ebay. I bought this top for £30 which is just a fraction of what I would have paid in store but it is practically brand new!  The colours and pattern are a bit daring for me but I visualised it over plain black leggings (as shown) or black jeans. This top also has the same versatility as the Overider one as I would feel comfortable on a night out or a night in wearing this one!

  • My second item to show you is the top that was bought from Overider, a small independent shop in Tetbury, Gloucestershire. I would highly recommend that you check out their website as I think that their clothes are impeccable and I love the grungy-behemian style that they have! I spotted a top when on holiday in Cornwall in another great shop called Fusion (i'll put both websites below) but held out to see if Overider had anything and they did! I was looking for a simple black top with a little something extra that could be dressed up or down accordingly and this is perfect! The shiny/ shimmery effect on the centre piece means that this top can be glammed up with a skirt and a necklace or played down with jeans and a jacket. Love. It.

        • My third item is what I like to call my 'Trackie Dress', one of my pet hates is when people wear tracksuit bottoms in public and this is my solution! This dress is so warm and comfortable that I never want to take it off. The colours are very neutral and match pretty much anything, looks great over leggings (as shown). The light grey on the sides gives the impression of pockets that aren't actually there.

          • These are a pair of Ralph Lauren jeans that I bought for £49.99  (eeeeeek!) in the Swindon Outlet. Although this is a lot of money to spend on a pair of jeans, considering I have bought two pairs recently, I really liked the colour and detailing on this pair. The colour is much darker denim blue then any of my other jeans and I thought that they would be a very wearable addition to my collection!

3. Charity Shop

I love charity shops as sometimes they can be hiding an absolute treasure! I went in to a couple very close to the shop that I work in and came away a very happy bunny. This Scarf caught my eye when I was looking for something to wear with the Overider top that I bought (black one shown earlier). I thought this scarf would go very nicely with the top as it has the same dark tone to it. The fade from burnt orange to dark purple makes the scarf very unique and it only cost £4, bargain!! My other charity shop purchase was this gorgeous little leather bag, it is not very often that you find a bag with both black and brown in it and that is what caught my attention. I often struggle to match my bag and shoes as I like to wear either all brown or all black, but now I don't have to worry! This bag cost me £10 and came without a long strap, but I'm sure I can fix that. It is so cute and vintage-y that I cant wait to style and wear it!

4. FIRST EVER M.A.C. Make-Up

I thought I was going to have to wait until christmas to get my hands on my first ever M.A.C. products but when I saw this in the Swindon Outlet I could not resist. I am presuming that this set is perhaps from last years range, but it is themed for the winter and I thought it would give me the perfect introduction. It only cost me £29.99 and that included: three M.A.C. brushes, four eyeshadows, one blusher, one lipglass and one lipstick. I have tried this set  couple of times and just as I expected all the shades go really well together. However you guys will have to wait to find out as I am planning a tutorial or video of some kind for you!

Here are the links for Overider and Fusion, go check them out!

That's it! All done! I hope you enjoyed my haul and if you did please don't hesitate to comment and let me know! Also if you would like to email me and give me blog ideas or suggestions you can reach me at :
